The 2018 Investment Ranking evaluates over 30,000 private equity investment and exit projects based on metrics such as investment performance, exits, portfolio management, and industry influence. It scores and selects qualified investors to be included in the ranking, covering thousands of private equity investors across China.

Alan Song, Founding Partner and Chairman of Harvest Capital, was recognized in the 2018 ranking as one of the "Top 10 Best New Consumer Industry Investors" and among the "Top 50 Best Private Equity Investors."

On September 19, ChinaVenture officially released the "ChinaVenture 2018 Investor Ranking." Compiled by the ChinaVenture Research Institute using the CVSource data system, the ranking is widely regarded as one of the industry's most authoritative, comprehensive, and objective lists. It is developed through a rigorous process of questionnaires, interviews, data collection, verification, standardized data processing, and scoring-based selection.

For this edition, the ranking assessed investors based on data indicators including investment activity, exits, projects under management, and industry influence from January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2018. The selection process involved three stages: preliminary screening, information verification, and final ranking. After evaluating and scoring more than 30,000 private equity investment and exit projects, qualified Chinese private equity investors were selected for inclusion based on their overall scores.
